Renewable carbon with Lawter

Biobased products

The biobased-based resins produced, are applicable in the Ink, coating and adhesives industry. Looking at the production of various inks, vital components are rosin-based varnishes and additives of Lawter. Besides that, it's also possible to use the natural resins as adhesives to be used for hot melt adhesives and road markings to improve the adhesion. In addition, the water-based pressure sensitive adhesive, can provide excellent stability and strength which shows a variety of these adhesives.

Renewable Carbon

As part of its certified environmental management system (ISO-14001) Lawter has several processes in place to keep its waste volume and cost as low as possible.  Some of the processes handle the sorting of the waste into different streams in order to recuperate as much as possible materials, to keep its disposed produced products below 0,1% and to reuse the water needed for the cleaning and rinsing of its installations.   Lawter is certified to use its process-oil as fuel for the incinerator instead of natural gas. 25% of the waste materials are recuperated for other purposes, 45% goes the wastewater treatment plants and 30% to incineration plants (with energy recuperation). Less than 0,2% is landfill.
