DOMO Engineering Plastics Europe and Solvay today signed an agreement for DOMO to acquire Solvay's Performance Polyamides activities in Europe. This includes the Engineering Plastics activities in France and Poland; High Performance Fibers in France; Polymers and Intermediate activities in France, Spain and Poland. The agreement also concerns a joint venture between BASF and DOMO in France for the production of Adipic Acid. The acquisition, which is subject to approval by the competent competition authorities, is expected to be completed by the end of Q4 2019.

The acquisition of this leading PA 6.6 business will significantly strengthen Domo Engineering Plastics Europe's downstream nylon-based engineering plastics business - and create a European leader of scale, entering the market with a leading position in PA 6/6.6 in Europe. The result: a backwardly integrated company with unique technological capabilities and a guaranteed supply of key raw materials.

DOMO Engineering Plastics Europe is a leading manufacturer of high performance technical materials for a wide range of markets, including the automotive, food, medical, pharmaceutical, chemical and electronics industries. For many years, De Monchy has proudly represented the products and services of DOMO Engineering Plastics Europe.
