In response to the challenges we mentioned in the previous blog about EVA, we will now offer you a solution that can help you overcome these challenges.

We want to introduce to you EBA copolymers. These are new technology products designed to meet the needs of the market and create a wide range of high value-added applications.

Benefits

EBAEBA has many advantages over EVA. For example, EBA shows better adhesion to a broader range of substrates, especially more polar such as polyesters or polyamides. Besides, EBA's are more thermally stable, making them perform better than EVA's. Adhesion properties of EBA's improve even more when polar substrates are used, especially PA, PET, EVOH, PC but also aluminium.

Also, EBA copolymers are excellent for recycling applications. EBA can be used as an impact-resistant modification in many thermoplastics. This will certainly promote sustainability initiatives.

Application

In addition to the advantages mentioned above, EBA also has better thermal stability, flexibility and transparency compared to EVA, making it excellent for film applications. EBA also meets the requirements of the cable and adhesive markets due to its excellent processing and adhesion properties. Besides, EBA is particularly suitable in industries such as injection moulding, cable industry and the agricultural film sector.

How do you apply this alternative to EVA on your products?

We understand that you may not yet fully know how these new technological products can be applied to your production processes. Or would your company like to improve the quality of the products and at the same time benefit people and the environment? Our specialists in the plastics team can answer both questions.
