Your circular economy starts with Polykemi

In the previous story "Individual recycling is getting increasingly important in the chemical industry" we mentioned that there is a clear movement taking place from a linear economy to a circular economy. Meaning that more converters and end-users are focussing on green alternatives or recycled sources. For that same reason we are very proud of our partner Polykemi (and subsidiary Rondoplast), who are pioneering in plastic raw material recycling!

High Quality recycled base materials

Polykemi has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing compounds based on recycled plastic materials. This resulted in two well-known brand names REZYcom and REPRO. REZYcom are customer adapted recycled compounds, and REPRO is their standard range of compounds directly available from stock, based on recycled plastics. Both these brands are made form 100% recycled sources or hybrid systems.

Interesting to know, is that these compounds are applicable in almost every industry, like automotive industry/industrial applications, and in furniture. For example, Rondo Plast is currently supporting Volvo Cars ambition to have at least 25% of the plastic in their cars being made from sustainable material by 2025. Within this project about 60kg of plastic parts are replaced by recycled plastic. These parts can be found in air ducts, the central console behind the radio and the display, the wheel arc, and loading floor support structure.

How could you apply this sustainable solution to your products?

You might be wondering how you could apply these recycled plastic materials to your products, what engineer possibilities there are, or how to market these materials in a most successful and efficient way?

Due to the successful cooperation with our partner Polykemi. De Monchy can help you reach success and contribute to a sustainable future. In addition, De Monchy has specialist expertise in the thermoplastic segment and can provide partners and customers with valuable information about various market developments.
