De Monchy Team meets DAF Trucks NV!

De Monchy International BV is key supplier to all DAF Trucks NV plastic interior parts producers.
To give our colleagues the opportunity to see what it means to produce a DAF truck from just single components (steel, plastic, paint, etc.) we visited DAF Trucks NV in Eindhoven.

After a warm welcome, we were informed about Paccar and DAF Trucks NV.
Paccar (USA) is owner of DAF Trucks NV and produces the famous Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks.
This company movie gave us a good first impression.

During the 1 hour tour we could get an impression what it takes to build a truck.
Assembling the power full engine, shaping the metal sheets, starting with steel bars to create the custom made chassis and add all single components. Paint it all in the right customer colour.

In the final production hall the completed chassis is now combined with the in Westerlo Belgium produced and completely finished and painted cabin.
Each finished truck will be checked and tested very intensively before it can leave to the customer.

It became clear that DAF Trucks NV produces according to “make to order” and “based on customer requirements”.
That means that almost every truck is unique !
This makes it logistically even more impressive. The built-to-order way of working and exceeding customer requirements blend seamlessly with De Monchy International BV’s  goals. We are pleased and proud to contribute to the future success of DAF.
