Acquisition of Integrated Chemicals Specialties B.V. by Monchy Chemicals Group B.V.

Monchy Chemicals Group B.V. (MCG) has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Integrated Chemicals Specialties B.V.  (ICS)

MCG, a distributor of chemical raw materials, markets a technical product portfolio for different applications (paints & coatings, adhesives, lubricants, thermoplastic & rubber, personal care, and food). MCG is the link between first-class producers of chemicals and the manufacturing industry and is part of the privately owned M&R de Monchy NV group of companies. 

ICS, a private limited company established in 1975, distributes a broad portfolio of specialty chemicals, additives & process aids. ICS will remain an independent company under the umbrella of MCG, benefiting from its corporate strength like finance & quality management. The product ranges of MCG and ICS are complementary and will strengthen the overall scope, role and added value in the supply chain of both companies.

Geographically MCG is active throughout Europe with an emphasis on Northern Western Europe, whereas ICS focuses on the Benelux and Germany. Both companies have successfully grown their businesses by delivering high-quality raw materials and outstanding service to their business partners. The companies share the same philosophy to develop long-term business relationships, focus on customer excellence, technical understanding & support and single sourcing with transparency towards stakeholders. This change of ownership will offer more opportunities to producers and end-users of chemical raw materials. 

The current management will continue to manage ICS. Mr. Hennink, the General Manager of ICS, will report to Mr. Gerko Snel, the Managing Director of MCG. Recently, ICS has moved to new offices in Nieuw Vennep, from where it will continue to operate with the same professional & motivated team. As Mr. Snel says: “We are very pleased with this transaction which we believe will accelerate our growth strategy and will strengthen our position in the chemical distribution market. ICS will be a key component in the foreseen growth strategy. 
Mr. Hoek, departing Director of ICS, commented that, after some years of careful succession planning, he believes ICS will be able to continue its independent character and growth path under the new ownership.
